Lenten Retreats Conclude Why Catholic? Process
MOBILE—On the second weekend of Lent the Archdiocese of Mobile will conclude its four year journey through the Catechism with “Why Catholic?” retreats hosted in seven different locations.
These retreats punctuate the end of Season IV, Christian Prayer: Deepening My Experience of God. " The Why Catholic? team members who have companioned us so faithfully on this journey will be returning,” said Mrs. Rebecca Titford, Director of the Office of Religious Education. “Sr. Theresa (Terry) Rickard, O.P., Executive Director for RENEW International will be leading the Mobile and Baldwin English-speaking retreats, Fr. Abraham Orapankal will be returning to lead those in the Dothan deanery, and Sr. Verónica Méndez, R.C.D., will be leading both the English and Spanish retreats in Prattville and the Spanish retreat in Foley.”
Several of the parishes are offering these retreats as a part of their Lenten focus on prayer. Everyone is invited to take part, previous participation in a small faith sharing group is not a requirement.
